the desires of your heart

Psalm 37:4 says "Delight yourself in the Lord and HE will give you the desires of your heart."

Just the other day I found a list of all the things that I wanted in the man I married. Notice the I wanted, not what God wanted me to have. Mind you this list was made in 7th grade7 -8 years ago. I had on the list that this man had to have a red truck (what a foolish one), hunter, outdoorsy, handsome ect. Now 6 years later I am told who I should marry by my very wise brother. There were no complaints to be found except the ones I had. I wanted someone who could fix my car, I thought Ryan {my husband} to be incompitent in mechanic situations, I wanted someone that could build things {also pretty sure Ryan was all that good in this catagory either}. However, it seems that it was God's will for me to marry Ryan. I fell deeply in love and decided that all the things that were not quite up to par would not make that much difference. BUT God knew the desires of my heart, turns out Ryan can fix most anything wrong with my car & change the oil -I hate going to the garage- he can build things, he has that red truck too. God really does care about his children and the desires of their heart. WE are so blessed to have such a loving heavenly father!

dating... is it a good idea?

SO I was just thinking this morning about my dating exprenice. If you can even call it dating. I always said that I never wanted to date because I think that it is a terrible way to get to know if someone is suitable to be your mate for life.  When anyone goes out on a date, the first thing they usually do is make themselves look their best, unfortunatly in our society to day the usually means finding a revealing outfit. Their also on their best behavior, making an effort to impress you. So my question is, do you truly see what you getting into?

I think that spending time with an intrest in a group is much better. It is safe, especially if you do not know the person, but you will see them with their guard down too. Maybe get a more who they are view. This would also make it easier to end the realtionsip because you would just have being friends to deal with not anything more complex.

I married a close friend. Best choice I  could have made. I knew him very well because I spent time with him in a group setting, spending time with his family. { This way I knew how wonderful my inlaws would be , rather than ending up with not so great ones}. My family also spent time with him, and learned that he was a good upstanding man, this allowed a marriage to happen very easily.

So the moral of the blog think before you date some yahoo that you really don't know. Do some group stuff, spend time with him & your family. Don't just go to the movies and let him off the hook easily.

Community of LOVE

So, recently I have had to battle a cold, and a GI bug. Being sick it about the worst feeling and even worses than that, people just hate to do anything. Having a home to care for, a husband to take care of it kinda seemed like being sick would have just been an even worse now that I have all thoses things. But I have to say, I am incrdedibly blessed with a wonderful family. I have to come home from work early, then I go to bed to try and sleep of the nausea. I call my mom in the morning to see if she might have anything to fight the nausea. she apologizes because she didn't. But within an hour, she sends my sweet brother to my home with Gingerale and  lunch for my husband. Shortly after that, my brother-in-law brings me Gingerale and my mother in law sends me some anti nausea medicine. If thats not so thoughtful, I wake up in the afternoon to find that my mom has made chicken soup for me, homemade bread for toast, and come cookies for ryan. SO nice to live surrounded but such loving and careing family. I am truly blessed. I got more phone calls and emails and facebook messages makeing sure I was feeling better. The Lord has truly blessed me with the most wonderful family that I could ever have and amazing in-laws and the Greatest Husband in the world. Thank you Lord for my little community filled with Love!!

Some of God's Blessings

Any day is a day that is a gift from God. So today I was just thinking of some of the many blessings that God has given me. So today I will share some pictures of some recent blessings. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband of just over 2 months. Most people would just say oh your still in the 'honeymoon' stage. However, the man I married, treats me like a princess, the way a man should treat his wife. Which leaves me the challege of treating him like the king that he is in return. Non the less the blessing that he is, blesses me with a challenge.

Gerber Daisy's are my favorite flower. So last friday my husband got my this lovely vase full of them. Definatly makes me feel like a princess. <3

Somethings to think on...

Matthew 5:44 " But I say to you: Love your enimies; bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." -- Theses are the words said by our Lord Jesus, Our example that God send down from Heaven. The fact that we are to love our enimies, bless the ones that curse me, do good to the ones that HATE me, and pray for the ones that uses and persecute me, well that definitaly takes the Lord in my heart to do. Even with Christ in my heart it is a challenge for me. I think that my prayer to start needs to be " Dear Lord, Please give me a heart to be genuine when I pray for my ENINMIES,those people that CURSE me, those who USES and PERSECUTE me. Without you LORD there is not a way that I can do this.

I THESSALONIANS 5:17 "pray without Ceaseing". We are not to end our communication with our Lord. Some times its easly to lose that time of communication, but in reality, why would we not want to be in constat communication with the one who controls the universe. I know for me God is the one that is always there for me. Through thick and thin, He is the one that is always the constant. He is there when my husband is at work, when my best friend is not around, when my mom is busiy, MY Lord is ALWAYS there for me. What a Great blessing to have him always there. I need to make sure that I am always communitcating with out times of cease.
